The Payroll/HR Specialist will support day-to-day payroll activities and support human resources activities at our manufacturing facility. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources and be responsible to provide overall HR support with a primary focus and responsibility for payroll and onboarding of new employees.
Responsibilities and essential job functions:
- Daily responsibility to manage daily attendance
- Daily responsibility to update payroll data
- Daily responsibility to maintain a roster of open positions including time open, fill date, start date for site positions
- Daily communication and reporting requirements; internally and externally
- Weekly responsibility to process weekly payroll preferably with Paycom
- Process onboarding and assist in New Hire Orientations
- Assist with coordination of employee events
Job Requirements:
- 2 years of payroll processing required
- Fluent in Spanish is preferred
- Demonstrated HR generalist experience preferred
- Demonstrated strong communications skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team
- Possess a high degree of professionalism
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented with high level accuracy
- Reliability and dependability
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive material
- Ability to learn quickly and multi-task
- Ability to prioritize activities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Exceptional time management skills
- Demonstrated basic Microsoft Office Suite skills required
- Experience and proficiency in utilizing ATS and/or HRIS system
- HR certification given high consideration; not required
- Demonstrated analytic and process improvement skills
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills required
- AA/AS degree or equivalent in Business Administration/Management/Human Resources/Liberal Arts
- Pay range is $45k - $60k, based on experience.
