Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist aids in the overall day to day activities of the Payroll Coordinator. The Specialist must exhibit effective communication skills and great attention to detail. They must also be organized and maintain strict confidentiality in this position.

What You'll Do:

• Paramount is maintaining the confidentiality of all employee and Sterling information
• Uses Reynolds & Reynolds to assist the Payroll Coordinator in managing employees' electronic compensation record
• Enters and maintains all employee payroll deductions (A/R, Uniforms, 401(k), Deferrals, Benefit premiums, etc.)
• Assists Payroll Coordinator with accounting reports and internal auditing
• Assists Payroll Coordinator in analyzing time keeping information in Reynolds & Reynolds
• Processes payables for all employee elected benefits
• Generate and analyze payroll reports using Reynolds & Reynolds

What We're Looking For:

• At least 2+ years experience in Payroll is required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• BA in Accounting is preferable
• Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail
• Applicable experience with data entry and data reporting
• Highly organized, able to prioritize, and excellent time management skills
• Has an excellent working knowledge of the basic accounting principles
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Effective communication skills
• Possess the understanding of the interpersonal relationship
