In this role, you'll be responsible for processing semi-monthly payroll and performing HR administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of HR, some accounting experience, data management skills, and proficiency in Excel. Experience with various HCM systems is a plus. A college degree and/or SHRM/HRCI certification is preferred, but we will consider candidates with 5+ years of relevant experience.
Core Responsibilities

Accurately process semi-monthly payroll in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations Maintain employee data, benefits, and time-off requests in our HCM system Ensure accurate payroll records are maintained and prepare reports as needed Assist with employee benefits administration and open enrollment Help with recruitment and onboarding by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks Assist with new hire orientation and employee training as needed Maintain employee onboarding process and ensure background check completions Ensure compliance with all HR-related legal requirements, including EEO, ADA, and FMLA Handle employee relations matters with confidentiality and professionalism Make a positive impact on our team by being a helpful and supportive resource Reconcile benefits invoices as received (typically monthly) and provide coding for accounting Provide GL summaries of payroll for accounting Manage federal and state payroll filing inquiries/discrepancies Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred 5+ years of experience in payroll and/or HR administration Basic understanding of HR functions and laws Some accounting experience Experience with data management and various HCM systems, with proficiency in Excel Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve our goals SHRM/HRCI certification a plus, but not required
