Position Description:
The Payroll Specialist works with payroll, human resources and operations team members to process payrolls within assigned schedules. The primary responsibility is to process payroll accurately and provide excellent customer service to our employees.
Essential Functions:

1. Compiles payroll data, enters data, computes and posts wages, and reconciles errors to maintain payroll records.
2. Reviews computed wages and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
3. Records changes affecting net pay to update master payroll records.
4. Process tax payments and filings for assigned entities.
5. Compile internal management reports from payroll and accounting systems.

Physical Demands:
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Required Education, Experience, Certification and Licenses:
1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Microsoft Office experience
3. Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
4. College degree (preferred)
5. Union Payroll experience (preferred)
