Key Responsibilities:
Payroll:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 145 employees.
- Process quarterly safety bonuses.
- Maintain knowledge of Federal and State payroll tax laws.
- Manage new hire information and employee data changes.
- Process terminations promptly.
- Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax reports, including W-2s.
- Maintain accurate records of wage garnishments and child support orders.
- Assist with auditors during the annual 401k audit.
Invoices:
- Handle incoming invoices efficiently.
- Review invoices for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Match purchase orders with invoices and update accounting records.
Checks:
- Issue payments for Marine Company invoices bi-weekly.
- Process monthly payments for various company invoices.
- Manage inter-company transfers and miscellaneous payments.
- Maintain organized records of paid invoices.
- Oversee tax ID# acquisition for 1099 reporting.
- Manage annual property tax payments.
- Order checks as needed for all companies.
- Monthly reconciliation and payment of credit card statements.
Other Duties:
- Assist in various office tasks and special projects.
- Forward insurance cards and vehicle registrations to the Director of Purchasing.
- Attend accounting team meetings and take notes.
- Collaborate and provide support to colleagues as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
