Job Description
Sentry Management is a nationwide leader in the community management industry. We are headquartered in Central Florida and have locations in 22 states across the continental US.
We are currently seeking an experienced, efficient and diligent person to manage our payroll processing and other miscellaneous HR duties at our home office in Longwood, FL. This position is responsible for processing and managing the company’s payroll as well as calculating wages and administering payments with the ultimate goal being to ensure all our employees receive the correct compensation precisely when they expect it.
Responsibilities:
- Multi-State payroll processing for more than 1000 employees.
- Understanding and utilizing payroll processes, rules and regulations
- Addressing questions from employees regarding payroll
- Insurance billing
- Government reporting
- Creating, running and maintaining reports
- Working with HRIS vendor
- Processing wage garnishments
- Adjusting pay for raises, bonuses and commissions
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
- Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
- Experience with payroll software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to successfully multitask
