JOB PURPOSE:
The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for performing all transactional payroll processes and procedures for hourly and salaried associates located in the corporate and plant locations. Duties include the management of employee data, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets, computing wages, and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains and reviews payroll systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, wage garnishments, taxes, and other deductions through ADP Workforce Now.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
- Investigate and correct payroll system errors and recommend process improvements.
- Prepare various payroll reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for management review.
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefit enrollments in HRIS.
- Conduct new hire benefit orientations and annual open enrollment.
- Assists employees regarding benefits claims issues and plan changes.
- Distributes all benefit enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
- Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
- Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts.
- Manages annual 401(k) audit.
- Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges, & annual budgets.
- Assist with front office tasks such as attending to visitors, answer incoming calls, restock breakrooms, and maintain inventory levels for breakroom supplies.
- Organize and execute company events and luncheons in coordination with the HR team.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
· Three or more years of payroll processing experience for multi-state organization.
· Knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Resourceful with strong researching skills.
· Customer service orientation.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Advanced experience using Excel.
· Proficient with ADP Workforce Now required.
· Bilingual Spanish (speak, read, and write) a must.
