We invite you to come share in our success. The Payroll Manager oversees the company's North America payrolls and is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll in a timely and accurate manner. Duties include coordinating payroll activities, timekeeping, and related systems to ensure the accurate, timely, and cost-effective delivery and reporting of all wage and tax data per federal, state, and country regulations and company policies.
Collaborates with finance and accounting, supervises payroll staff, and ensures efficient payroll processing. Responsibilities: Supervises the payroll team and assigns duties, monitors payroll team performance and trains new staff. Oversees and reviews payroll payments and account reconciliations.
Prepares reports and financial statements. Manages payroll tax filings. Directs the collection, computing, and documentation of payroll data.
Updates payroll process to make them more efficient, identifies payroll related problems and suggests process improvement solutions and system enhancements. Ensures compliance with federal, state and local payroll regulations and company policy. Responsible for internal and external audits.
Oversees pre- and post-payroll auditing/reconciling procedures, troubleshoots anomalies. Maintains internal safeguards in record keeping and control systems. Calculates supplemental payments such as commissions, bonuses, SERP distributions.
Supports the annual salary and bonus review process. Partners with Finance, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance, and strategic analysis. Manages Expense reimbursement, has budgetary responsibility.
Manages escalated issues and provides direction, functions as the point of contact for employee queries regarding payroll related topics. Ensures senior executives and cross-functional business leaders are up to date by providing information and responding to any questions. Completes ad-hoc projects as needed.Requirements: Degree in business administration, accounting, or finance.
7+ years' managerial or supervisory payroll experience. Extensive payroll and tax knowledge and ability to foresee the effects of changes, predicts and overcomes obstacles in advance. Proficiency and in-depth knowledge of relevant ADP/WFN and Workday Payroll and Benefits policies and procedures.
SAP experience is a plus. Superior verbal and written client service skills, strong, active listening/communication skills. Able to collaborate, work and thrive with all levels of management in a team environment focused on achieving results.
Strong math and analytical skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Able to prioritize and multitask effectively.
