*18 month Temp assignment
The Payroll Systems Manager Temp will be the techno-functional Time & Attendance leader within Corporate Payroll Services and provide analytical support, project management and project execution within Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) and Absence (ATL) project team. This role will work closely with Payroll, IT and HRIT for the duration of the project including building a strategy/plan, architecture, and applicable policies and procedures while ensuring compliance. The goal of this role is to guarantee the project delivers accurate results while placing high consideration on Manager and Employee experience. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Payroll Systems and will be the Payroll lead for this company-wide, high-profile project in collaboration with the Absence CoE. This role will also work closely with a third-party implementation partner and IT Project Manager.
- Partners with various organizational stakeholders (COE, IT, Payroll), leads the work to create Time and Absence technology solutions to support and improve Manager and Employee experience related to Timekeeping
- Applies better technology and process, making sure that the voice of the customer is reflected in proposed solution
- Leads or participates in OTL and Absence module design
- Develops business requirements, integration plans and post go-live support model
- Drives project progress according to planned schedule with implementation partner
- Advises on necessary analytics and reports to ensure compliance and limit risk
- Develops and reviews test cases alongside payroll team and implementation partner
- Ensures accuracy by testing functionality against design and comparing detailed results against baseline production. Heavy engagement with payroll team
- Manages and coordinates development support tickets
- Communicates project risks to payroll leadership
- Supports change management processes as an integral part of the launch phase
- Prepares and delivers training, when needed
- Contributes to the research and evaluation of new and/or alternative solutions and technologies to enhance operational effectiveness and reduce costs
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or Human Resources or equivalent experience required
Work Experience:
- 8+ years of Timekeeping experience for large, multi-state employer with complex policies and rules
- Led or participated on a Time & Attendance implementation
- Well-versed in Absence, Timekeeping and Payroll; UKG or other timekeeping experience
- Experience managing a project team
Other:
- Experience using Oracle HCM and reporting tools is a plus
- Project management, business analyst or developer background
- Oracle certified in Oracle Time & Labor is a plus
- Experience building and managing test plans as well as leading multiple test cycles
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Customer focused mindset
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
