Position Objective:
Under the general direction of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Clerk will support with the payroll administration. Responsibilities include monitoring all tasks necessary to accomplish the organization's payroll processing objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Compile and input payroll data: 1500+ employees
- Collect timesheets ensuring they are completed accurately.
- Manage ePay/BlueForce timekeeping.
- Contact Supervisors regarding missed timecards.
- Distribute payroll checks (organizing mailing, federal express, etc.)
- Maintain and organize confidential payroll files
- Answer payroll inquiries and resolve all discrepancies as they arise
- Process payroll reports to ensure accuracy of hours, payments, deductions, and taxes prior to final submission.
- Audit and address variances during payroll processing
- Data entry for direct deposit, W-4's, Retro's and payroll adjustments.
- Assist Payroll Manager in Year-end Client bases bonuses and W-2's distribution.
- Perform special projects and other additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- High school degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Must be extremely detail orientated and have excellent mathematical abilities
- Decent computer skills in Microsoft Windows environment with a concentrated proficiency in MS Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
