Payroll Coordinator
SUMMARY
The primary role of the Payroll Coordinator is to work alongside the Payroll Administrator and focus specifically on payroll processing and preparation. This person will be spending their time analyzing and processing payroll for a multi co organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Update and maintain company pay schedule
- Analyze and process payroll as needed by the Payroll Administrator
- Required Reporting (i.e. zero and total hours reports, bonus reports and special reports)
- Will work with HR to ensure pay system accuracy and re-setting of user credentials within the pay system
- Prepare files for 401k and Health Savings Account
- Responsible for documenting and archiving payroll and benefit data.
- Perform quarterly and year-end payroll reconciliations
- Responsible for accuracy of W-2s
- Responsible for transmission of benefit contributions to vendors, i.e. H.S.A, 401(k), Workers Comp
- Data reporting of benefit deductions, i.e. Workers compensation, STD, LTD, Dental, Vision, etc.
- Issuing of manual checks, when needed
- Responds to all pay inquiries
- Assist Accounting staff ,when directed
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Must be detailed oriented
- Help with commission calculations
- Prepay payroll reports for management as needed
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business or related field, preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in filed or related area, required
- Knowledge of Industry , preferred
- Ability to communicate both written and oral, well organized, and proven time management skills
- Strong proficiency with Excel, Outlook and Word
