Overview: Medication technicians distribute and administer medications to residents in the community as prescribed by the physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Must have previous experience as a Medication Technician.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prefer recent experience in a healthcare environment and completion of Medication pass administration training.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Competency in using electronic medical records.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Distribute and administer medication to residents timely as prescribed by the physician.
- Administer breathing and skin treatment to residents according to physician’s prescription.
- Accurately record the administration of medication.
- Assess, monitor and document residents’ progress, symptoms, and medication reactions to the Wellness Director/Nurse on shift.
- Reports changes in resident’s condition to the Wellness Director/Nurse on shift.

Pay: $16.00 per hour
