Restaurant General Manager

The Harbor Restaurant Group has an exciting and immediate opening for a General Manager for Stearns Wharf's iconic Longboard’s Grill. Longboards has been recently revamped and refreshed with a new chef, updated dining room, improved menu, and we are ready for you to take on the incredibly busy summer season. We are looking for a qualified GM to help with the following:

1. Sales: Execute effective sales concept, reach budgeted sales levels, properly execute company marketing and sales programs, develop new programs to improve sales categories. Communicate daily sales goals to staff and results to ownership.

2. Financial/Administrative: Ensure that budgeted food, beverage, payroll and other controllable expenses are achieved. Verify funds, make daily deposits and prepares daily reports. Control and improve inventory, payroll, accounting and other costs. Report any discrepancies immediately to ownership.

3. Operations: Ensures company standards for cleanliness and sanitation are followed by staff who are to be trained in proper procedures. Ensures company safety and security procedures are followed. Ensures the building is kept clean and well-maintained. Work the floor, interact with guests and direct staff to deliver a top notch experience to patrons. Ensure proper ongoing communication to ownership. Execute company strategic business plan. Cooperates with management by performing any other duties when asked to do so.

4. Hiring and Training: Build and manage a cohesive team of professionals by hiring, firing, and training staff according to company standards. Interview and orients each new hire. Review employees' performance at least twice a year. Coach and role model for staff. Ensure proper standards are met from dress code to conduct. Develop, train, and coach subordinates and staff on a regular basis in a constructive manner. .Ensure communication to all levels of the organization. Sets an example for entire restaurant.
