Payroll Coordinator/Administrator
Monmouth Park Racetrack, established in 1946 along the Jersey Shore in Oceanport, is one of New Jersey’s most historic and recognizable landmarks. Monmouth Park plays host to world-class Thoroughbred racing May through September, and is the summer home to 1,600 horses.

Responsibilities
- Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
- Ensure payroll is processed correctly and on time.
- Maintains related payroll records and reconciles any errors.
- Process wage garnishments and voluntary deductions.
- Calculate and process deductions for health, dental and vision insurance premiums.
- Union contributions reporting.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits and company policies.
- Assist with the timely filing of EEO, ACA, etc. reports as required by specific agencies.
- Maintain PTO accruals.
- Ensuring Compliance with all Federal and State Statutory rules and regulations related to payroll and human resources.
- Assist with new hire and rehire on-boarding.
- Participate in company audits.
- Strong knowledge of current applicable State and Federal wage and hour laws.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook a must.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documents.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and show initiative in completing assigned tasks.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be organized with strong follow-through.
- Must be able to work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- 2-4 years of job-related experience.
