JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Payment Posters are responsible for accurately applying payments/adjustments/denials to the AR and forwarding any denials and/or short paid invoices to the appropriate collector to be reviewed.
Essential Functions
- Ensure that the daily posting of both electronic and paper checks are posted accurately and efficiently
- Transfer deductible and co-insurance to the responsible subsequent payer, according to the insurance Explanation of Benefits.
- Log all payments posted on internal deposit log.
- Enter and post approved Adjustments and Write-offs generated by collection staff.
- Identify all denials and incomplete payments and forward to appropriate collector.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associate degree preferred.
- Brightree experience is a plus.
Performance Metrics
- All deposits entered within 24 hours of receipt of EOB, reason unable to complete needs to be communicated the same day.
- All denials and incomplete payments forwarded to the collector by the next business day.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. or other agreed upon schedule.
