- Position: Medical Payment Poster
- Location: Richardson, Texas
- Schedule: Full Time
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. This role will be hybrid after training is completed.
THE POSITION:
Our company is a long-established pediatric medical supplies provider and recognized leader in the industry with multiple locations throughout Texas. We are in need of a Medical Payment Posters with experience in posting electronic remittances as well as manual posting of EOB's, balance transfers, secondary insurance claims filing and understanding varied fee schedules.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Accept payments and process billing statements
- Keep track of payment deposits from patients and insurance reconciling details
- Prepare payment batches
- Conduct audits for billing cycles
- Assess explanation of benefits (EOBs) from insurance companies
- Keep accurate billing records and report any discrepancies to accounting
THE QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Associate or bachelor's degree (preferred)
- At least 1 year of experience in payment posting
- Ability to process a high volume of work
- Knowledge of EOBs
- Data entry and typing skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Experience with Brightree software, DME, or pediatrics (preferred)
