Form of workProvides central oversight and organization of the activities of the Patient Relations Specialist team. Assists the team by receiving incoming requests for assistance, triaging the workload and helping to move patient appointments when possible to ensure a seamless experience for the patient. Acts as liaison between our high valued domestic and international patients (benefactor, trustee, high influence, etc.) and Mayo Clinic. Must enjoy interacting with and serving a diverse patient population and thrive in a rapidly-changing, fast-paced environment. Assists the Patient Relations Specialist team by coordinating and facilitating the patient experience and with administrative tasks pertaining to their overall experience. Additionally, provides facilitation services for Specialty Contract patients, navigating the patients and supporting their Mayo Clinic experience. Provides oversight of the patient care experience and intervenes as necessary. Works collaboratively with Mayo Clinic and external physicians, appointment coordinators, patients and family members to provide an exceptional patient experience and provide service recovery when needed. Required to adhere to the ethical, compliance, and regulatory standards set forth for the department and institution. This position requires the flexibility to work weekends and evenings when necessary.
