Job Description
We are in need of a Temporary Department Assistant to perform secretarial, advanced clerical, and routine administrative and programmatic work in support of the Administrative Services and Human Resources Departments.
This is an on-site, part-time assignment for an estimated duration of 3 months. The selected individual will be expected to work between 3-5 hours per day, 15-25 hours per week between the hours of 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Schedule is flexible and dependent upon candidate availability.
Ideal Candidates will have:
Administrative support experience, ideally in either a government setting or human resources department
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro
Excellent oral and written communication
Experience providing excellent customer service (over the phone and in-person) Example of Duties:
Receives, screens, and routes incoming phone calls
Prepare, formats, and edits Board meeting agendas and packets
Prepares Board of Directors conference and seminar schedules
Creates various written documents (meeting scripts, meeting minute templates, monthly reports, etc.)
Orders and stocks office supplies and coffee through the District
Meters and sends District outgoing mail
Prints and compiles documents for Human Resources (e.g., new hire and interview binders)
Files and organizes Human Resources paperwork (electronically and hard-copy files) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Experience:
Three years of increasingly responsible clerical, secretarial, and routine administrative support experience.
