Part-Time Bookkeeper

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and practices, as well as experience with double entry bookkeeping.

Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Conduct account analysis to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Process payroll and maintain employee records
- Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with relevant regulations
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial data integrity
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
- Familiarity with financial report writing and analysis
- Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
