Accounting Associate Position
Whitlock & Company PC is a Certified Public Accounting firm with offices in Alcoa/Maryville and Pigeon Forge, TN. We are looking for an Accounting Associate for our Alcoa/Maryville office to join our team. The ideal candidate will have three plus years of solid experience, but we would consider a new graduate.
Responsibilities:
- Perform payroll processing, Quarterly and Annual payroll tax returns.
- Prepare monthly sales tax, gross receipt tax and lodging tax returns.
- Prepare monthly invoicing and maintain account receivable records.
- Process accounts payable and reconcile monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- General ledger and adjusting journal entries for multiple clients.
- Keep up with rules and law changes payroll and local and state taxes.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements.
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail, strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Word, and Excel
- Experience with accounting software such as Quickbooks or Accounting CS
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work with multiple clients and prioritize.
