We are seeking an Outreach Coordinator to join our team! Excellent Customer Skills needed for the Mobile Unit Distribution and Public Relations initiatives of the organization.
General Description
Ensures all program requirements, reports, and evaluations are completed accurately and timely. Ensures program participants and collaborative partners are being delivered service of high-quality standards and that they are satisfied with the programs. May perform case management coordination responsibilities including but not limited to intake, tracking, and coordination of services for program participants
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in public relations, marketing or Non Profit Experience preferred
- Bilingual ( Spanish or Creole).
- Familiarity with social media marketing strategies
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Responsibilities:
- Building connections and opportunities with families, businesses, other community partners, etc
- Professional demeanor and ability to stay calm under pressure
- Collaborates with community partners, governmental, and citizen’s groups in the marketing and delivering of community events. Utilizes brochures, presentations, monthly newsletters, best practice articles and media to raise aware of events and community impact.
• Create data driven reports identifying data showing community needs and community impact. Develop plans to address needs that are either no cost or low cost.
• Coordinates volunteer program
• Will market and support outreach efforts by seeking new clients and community partners in targeted demographics and seek community engagement opportunities
• Interview and refer families for program services, assist clients with program information and community resources and provide follow up
• Completing weekly and monthly reports for internal and external use
• Must be proficient with Data analysis
• Responsible for Weekly Mobile Unit distributions
• Attend Networking events , organizing meetings/ events, and seeking out opportunities to make our organization's presence known in the community
• Must have grant writing experience and seek sponsorships for events
• Develop strategic alliances and partnerships with potential community partners
• Write content for projects, activities, and community impact
• Collaborate with Executive Director and staff on projects and assist as needed
• Able to plan, coordinate and attend community events
• Must have attention to detail
• Recruits and trains volunteers - Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelors Degree from an accrediteid institution in Public or Business Administration, Management, Social Work, Information Management, or a related field.
• 2 years Social Service related experience, preferably with management or supervisory experience in a nonprofit environment.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS:
Must pass Level II background screening. Selected candidate responsible to pay cost for background check. Will be reimbursed after 90 days of employment.
Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License and have daily access to reliable transportation to and from work and for travel to off-site locations.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS:
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to sit and operate a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to speak in front of large groups.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
• Office environment
• Must also be comfortable working outside in various weather conditions for community events
• Ability to travel within Lake, Orange, Osceola, Polk and Seminole Counties
• Must be available to work flexible hours including day, night, and weekends.
