Description
Alpert JFS is looking for an Outreach Coordinator to network with other community non-profit organizations, schools, guidance counselors, teachers, faith-based organizations, and present on our Mentoring 4 Kids program. The Outreach Coordinator will develop, schedule and implement program quarterly events and outings and provide tracking of monthly/quarterly grant demographic and activity reports.
Outreach Coordinator Essential Responsibilities:
- Work with Director to inform community of existence of program to recruit children being raised in single-parent homes, children who could be at risk for emotional and behavioral problems due to a loss of caregiver, and children being raised by grandparents.
- Meet with professionals, organizations, and lay persons in the community to provide information to recruit volunteer mentors for these children.
- Present and attend informational seminars, fairs and workshops in the community to provide continual outreach and gain an understanding of mentoring in the community.
- Provide seamless connection for families to the services of this program.
- Attend in home assessments with the Director to qualify families/children into the program.
- Maintain accurate records, track progress, and adhere to all parameters of the grant. Provide feedback in a timely manner to the program director and clinical director of the agency.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- College degree required, Bachelors of Social Work/Psychology preferred. Experience in the area of outreach and/or working in volunteer programs with children/teens and adults.
- Strong presentation skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to interact with clients, and colleagues and the community.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with graphic design/Adobe desired, strong analytical skills and have the ability to problem solve and be self-motivated.
- A valid Florida driver's license is required and proof of automobile insurance.
