Private Optometry Front Desk
Job Description
Looking for a dependable Front Desk Receptionist for a growing private optometric practice. The right person must be professional, personable, able to multi-task, have good communication skills and have proficient computer skills. Benefits available for 30+ hours of work per week.
Job skills and task included but not limited to:
- Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or on phone). Always display a professional attitude with a smile; greet patients promptly and thank them when they leave
- Answer phones assuring prompt, courteous service at all times
- Check patient in/out of the office
- Politely, effectively communicate with patients, family members, providers and staff
- Take/manage messages for providers
- Verify & run insurance eligibility double checking to ensure completion
- Assure all paperwork is completed timely and accurately and is entered into MaximEyes software
- Knowledge of fees charged for common visits (Exams, CL evaluations, photos, co-payments and refractions)
- Discuss balances/payments due with patients
- Good medical terminology knowledge
- Maintains patient’s confidentiality
- Demonstrated knowledge of electronic medical records preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Knowledge of optometry software, specifically MaximEyes, is a plus
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Knowledge of HIPAA
Medical experience preferred
Skills and Abilities:
Customer Service skills
Knowledge of clinical administrative procedures
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
