Position Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a private practice Obstetrics and Gynecology physician group practice by directing, coordinating, and managing all practice functions. Works collaboratively with the other physician offices to ensure continuity among the corporation. Provides leadership for the office team, evaluates staff, resolves conflicts. Responsible for practice operations, financial accounting activities, operating and capital budgets, while implementing and supporting the policies and procedures of Avina Women’s Care.

Education, Work Experience and Licensure:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business administration or related field highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in medical practice management, preferably in private practice, strongly desired. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a front desk supervisor in a specialty field or 2 years’ clinical experience highly preferred.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Decrease expenses and create efficiencies for the practice.
- Oversee the Avina Women’s Care’s quality assurance and patient satisfaction programs.
- Execute employee appraisal and evaluation systems, training programs, and day-to-day human resource functions.
- Monitor systems for licensure, credentialing, and recertification.
- Coordinate clerical and clinical physician support services as applicable, including, but not limited to physician schedules, credentialing, and other related duties as assigned.
- Provide direct oversight to site/location/division expenses including accounts payable and approval processes.
- Execute the operational policies and procedures of Avina Women’s Care.
- Manage office staff, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with applicable laws and the policies and procedures of Avina Women’s Care.
- Coordinate the exchange of all billing information as necessary and required by patients, payers, and billing agency (Ascent), assuring physician and staff compliance.
- Monitor and provide oversight to the correction of data entry, posting, coding, and other billing related processes and improvement initiatives.
- Oversee daily cash collection and payment posting procedures, in accordance with all policies and procedures of Avina Women’s Care.
- Oversee purchasing and material supply of a location, assuring the location is adequately stocked while maintaining budgetary guidelines.
- Coordinate payroll data and payroll processes for all staff at a location.
- Coordinate the maintenance and facilities of a location.
- Display active commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Avina Women’s Care.
- All other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Technical/Motor Skills: Must be able to type; answer telephones with exemplary telephone etiquette; ability to speak clearly and listen with comprehension essential to communicate on the telephone and effectively with staff. Needs manual and finger dexterity. Eye-hand coordination required.
- Physical/Mental Abilities: Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Does repetitive activity (typing); answering phone.
- Must exercise good judgment and discretion in setting priorities, answering requests and completing assignments.
- Must have emotional stability to deal with stress of self and others while working closely with a variety of employees and patients.
- Essential Sensory Requirements: Good vision perception sufficient to read, write, and view computer screens and printouts accurately and speedily. Hearing adequate to discern telephone rings, conversations and audible signals. Ability to verbally communicate with patients, physicians, and staff.
- Technological Skills: Knowledge of NextGen, EPM, Email, Word, Excel, and Internet.
- Exposure to Hazards: Eyestrain and fatigue could result from prolonged use of computer screen.
- Hours of Work: Normal Business Hours, may be required to work outside of typical business hours.
