Portage Community Bank is looking for a sales and banking professional in the role of Treasury Management Officer.
The Treasury Management Officer develops new and existing business, manages all stages of the sales cycle from identification of prospects to closing, and is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships. This is a hybrid position that travels between Portage and Summit County.
Requirements
· Builds, develops, and maintains profitable and quality deposit relationships with new and existing customers (individual, business, municipal).
· Identify customer needs through leveraging banking technology services to increase efficiency and provide greater value and services to customers.
· Generates reports and reviews needs analysis.
· Maintains an in-depth working knowledge of all Treasury Management products and solutions and performs client demonstrations, as necessary.
· Works with the Operations department, Commercial Lending team, and Retail staff with the development of enhanced Treasury Management solutions in order to maximize cross-selling, deposit generation, and effectively identify new fee income opportunities.
· Maintains strong industry knowledge, stay current on competitor offerings, and provides market and competitor feedback to ensure competitiveness.
· Participates in community activities, boards, and events to enhance the Bank’s image and visibility and to form and strengthen business contacts.
· Works with the Marketing department to develop materials used for sales calls, including presentations and proposals and specific marketing materials by industry.
· Keeps-up to date on compliance and government regulations of the bank with regard to lending,retail, operations, and related banking products.
· Trains staff in proper selling techniques, recognizing sales opportunities and needs analysis.
· Assists clients with Treasury Management support calls regarding online banking, remote deposits, wires, ACH, merchant, and courier services.
Establish and maintains a comfortable rapport and partnership with the Executive Officers. Assist Executive Officers with ideas and strategies that will further support the growth of the Bank.
· Exhibits high levels of business development to make the Bank more successful and support its growth by seeking new business opportunities, developing and sustaining relationships with existing customers, entering strategic partnerships, and devising other plans to boost profits and market share.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field
- 5+ years in a sales role that focused on business-to-business sales
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a valid drivers license with ability to be a frequent traveler, as needed
Preferred Skills
- Certified Treasury Professional (“CTP”) Certification
- Treasury management experience
