Description
The Office Manager will work closely with the Director of Operations and Senior Partners in managing the day-to-day operations of the Columbus office.
Primary Tasks
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Columbus Office
- Manage and oversee all non-professional staff
- Oversee all duties related to interviewing and onboarding new team members
- Coordinate all training for new hires
- Facilitate team payroll / timecard approvals and PTO requests
- Mediate team issues when needed; escalate to HR when appropriate
- Liaison with attorneys and other management
- Preparing reports, agendas, and presentations for meetings
- Serve as the office contact for all area support agencies
- Assist with communication among employees
- Assist with internal and external promotional events
- Coordinate office participation in various volunteer and community events
- Coordinate the maintenance and security of the physical office
- Coordinate all office supply purchases for the Columbus Office
- Support all technology implementation within the Columbus Office
- Monthly/weekly/quarterly team meetings as needed
- Regular, consistent, punctual attendance
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and to exercise good judgment
- Strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures in the legal industry
- Ability to lead and direct by utilizing a wide degree of creativity
- Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of Needles and/or Litify Case Management software is a plus
- This is a full-time, salaried position with standard hours Monday - Friday. A minimum of 40 hours per week is to be expected, based upon projects
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum three years of management experience
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
