New Legacy Financial, Inc. is a growing accounting firm in southern Indiana. We are unique in the fact that we not only offer our clients tax and accounting services, but we are equipped to tackle all retail brokerage (i.e. retirement and investment accounts) and insurance matters as well.

Job Description:

  • Build customer relationships to promote and expand the business
  • Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties and/or take messages
  • Inform clients on the tax return and monthly accounting intake process
  • Positive communication with clients to collect any necessary supplemental documents, such as relevant financial records, tax forms, income statements, etc., to prepare income tax returns
  • Update client records with notes on calls, tax return processing status, items missing, etc.
  • Scan documents into client electronic record files
  • Data entry of simple client information into tax and/or accounting software
  • Compile printed tax returns, place in folders/envelopes with client’s name, and file alphabetically
  • Contact clients for tax return and/or monthly accounting pick up
  • Process client payments

Desired Qualifications/Certifications:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) – college training at the Associate, Bachelors, and/or graduate level will be weighted higher
  • Team player who is great at collaboration to accomplish needed tasks to fulfill the company’s mission and vision
  • Talented in interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly Organized
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Adobe products (such as Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to navigate software for notes, scheduling, electronic document storage, etc.
  • Skilled in multi-tasking
  • Solid availability January to mid-April
