We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Front Desk Administrator at our physical therapy office in Merrillville, IN. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smoot operation of the front desk.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage appointment reminders.
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary documentation.
- Maintain and update patient records in the electronic health records system.
- Handle billing and payment processing, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate with therapists and other staff to optimize scheduling and patient flow.
- Respond to inquiries, provide information, and address patient concerns with empathy.
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
- Order and manage office supplies, ensuring availability and proper inventory levels.
- Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned.
- Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and knowledge of electronic health records systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient condifdentiality.
- Positive attitude, team player, and a willingness to learn.
