Job Summary
The Office Administrator works with and supports the plant management with various office tasks at our soybean crush plant. Our ideal candidate will have basic accounting skills and experience with various office equipment and Microsoft Office programs. You will need high attention to detail to perform data entry, process various accounting transactions, receive payments and complete daily reports. You will also interact with customers, both in person and over the phone.

This job will be a day shift Monday thru Friday. During certain parts of the year, particularly harvest, there will be overtime, including some weekend hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain computer records of business transactions and product inventories, reporting data to superiors, companies or government agencies as requested.
- Records data pertaining to receiving, storing, and shipping of commodities.
- Records weight, description and destination of commodities shipped and received.
- Fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors and customers, and distributing mail for various purposes
- Interpret customer documents (invoices, statements, checks, etc.)
- Monitor inventory of supplies and create purchase order requisitions
- Process AR/AP within the appropriate programs
- Assist with month-end reporting
- Fling documents and status reports in a matter that are easily accessible
- Coordinate timely delivery of rail documents/invoices to customers to ensure timely payment
- Assist in the purchase and negotiation of farm products and commodities such as - but not limited to - soybean meal, soybean hull pellets, and/or soybeans
- Assist in monitoring of daily commodities position statements, hedging and related activities
- Provide support for other department positions as workload dictates, while supporting plant management
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- The ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency in math Office programs
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to work well with others at all levels within the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
Physical Demands and Requirements
- This job is not physically strenuous. You must be able to sit at a desk and utilize computers
- This job requires the ability to read and comprehend written and oral operational and safety instructions and related rules, policies, and memos, and to communicate clearly with your co-workers and supervisors
- This job is indoors in a controlled atmosphere with infrequent visits to the warehouse
- There will be minimal lifting of approximately 30 lbs
