The Independent Living Resource Center (ILRC) is a disability-focused non-profit providing services and advocacy to those experiencing all disabilities, of all ages, and all income levels. Our mission is to promote independent living and full access for individuals with disabilities through advocacy, education and action in our communities.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Input and maintain ILRC’s computerized non-profit fund accounting system including vendors, accounts payable, general ledger and payroll.
- Maintain various fiscal records for assigned grants.
- Analyze grant expenditure accounts.
- Prepares comparative analysis expenditures to grant budget to assure that spending is within budget and guidelines
- Assists on budget revision, as needed.
- Complete monthly grant billings, including Medi-Cal billings, Community Living Fund, Voice Options, etc.
- Follow up on unpaid invoices
- Payroll processing for all employees
- Assist with/conduct financial audits as necessary
- Collect, review, and verify financial data to process reconciliations and transaction research.
- Respond to internal (staff) / external (vendor and customer) emails and or phone calls regarding financial/ payroll inquires promptly and with accuracy.
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit card receipts including
- Assist in month-end/quarterly-end reconciliations and review of transactions for preparation of financial statements
- Assist in fiscal year-end accounting close-outs with auditors and annual audit process
- Maintain invoices, billing statements, and contracts
- Assist in special projects as assigned to the Finance Department
- Preparation of weekly deposit of all checks on hand and write cash receipts.
- Work as a member of the Administrative Team.
- Conduct agency business in a professional manner.
- Other related Accounting duties as necessary.
Essential Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Education around Accounting or Bookkeeping
- Ability to meet deadlines;
- Reliable personal vehicle for work travel;
- Must maintain valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record;
- Ethical work practices: honest, dependable, team-oriented;
Preferred Qualifications:
- Personal experience with disability
- Bilingual English/Spanish

Pay: From $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
