We have been in the food brokerage business since 1984, selling to a broad base of operators, distributors, and national accounts.
Position Summary:
As the National Sales Manager for the Unattended Retail - Equipment category, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our company. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building strong relationships with manufacturers, and driving revenue growth within the Equipment category (coolers / freezers, merchandising racks / shelves, point-of-sales kiosks, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacturer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing manufacturers. Provide them with the support and resources they need to succeed in the Convenience Services (vending, micro market, office coffee service, and pantry) and Specialty Market channels, and act as their main point of contact.
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet and exceed top line sales targets. This includes pricing strategies, promotions, and product placement recommendations.
- Training and Coaching: Execute sales training and testing for products, selling strategies, etc. with the G & J team to ensure they are properly equipped to work with our suppliers and products.
- Sales: Collaborate with the sales team to actively participate in sales meetings with top-ranked customers nationally. Leverage expertise to assist in closing high-value deals and fostering long-term relationships.
- Performance Analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, such as manufacturer revenue, customer feedback, and market trends. Use this data to make informed decisions and implement adjustments to the sales strategy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to execute sales strategies.
- Feedback: Gather and relay feedback to manufacturers to help them improve their offerings and customer service.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations to update senior management on category performance, trends, and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in equipment or technology preferably in Unattended Retail (Vending, Micro Market, Office Coffee Services, Panty) channel.
- Proven track record of success in sales management.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and act on opportunities for growth.
- Proficiency in using sales and data analysis tools.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Ability to travel locally to meet with manufacturers as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $215,000.00 per year
Compensation package:
- 1099 contract
- Commission pay
