Job Description: The National Sales/Key Account Manager will play a pivotal role in driving sales and expanding the presence of our client's products within the national big-box retail sector. The focus will be on developing and executing strategic sales plans to establish and grow and expand existing partnerships with major retail chains across the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans specifically tailored for Strategic National Retailers and Big Box Entities.
- Establish and strengthen existing and new relationships with key decision-makers at national retail chains.
- Identify and pursue new retail opportunities to increase brand visibility and market share.
- Work closely with marketing and product teams to tailor presentations and pitches for the retail sector.
- Provide exceptional service to retail partners, including regular follow-ups, product training, and support.
- Analyze retail market trends and competitor activities to adapt and optimize sales strategies.
- Negotiate and close contracts with major retailers, ensuring profitable and sustainable partnerships.
- Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure smooth product delivery and inventory management.
- Regular travel to meet with retail partners and attend industry trade shows.
- Report on retail account performance and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Active relationships with buyers for National Accounts i.e., Costco, Sams, Kroger etc.
- Experienced in product placement and programs.
- Able to penetrate or discover buyer identities and contacts.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven sales experience with a focus on the big-box retail sector, preferably in electronics or related industries.
- Strong understanding of retail sales dynamics and customer relationship management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the country.
