Pay range: $17- $18/hr.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Location: St Paul MN 100% in office

Position Title: Mortgage Document Support Specialist
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Document Specialist coordinates and prepares all documents pertaining to a request for release of lien, easement or subdivision of property. The incumbent evaluates documents to determine if requirements have been met in order to issue a release and reviews completed release to ensure investor requirements and compliance with government/investor/insurer regulation. This position requires complete understanding and knowledge of loan documentation associated with residential loan transactions. The position requires someone who is very detailed, very organized, self-motivated as well as someone who has the ability to work independently or with a group, in a fast-paced environment, to accomplish and meet goals and deadlines.
Job Responsibilities:
· Evaluate provided documentation to ascertain completeness for processing partial releases of lien, easement, or property subdivision; request missing documentation when necessary.
· Utilize data entry skills to create releases, demonstrating a deep understanding of associated Mortgage Documents.
· Discuss requirements for partial release with relevant parties, emphasizing the importance of submitting all necessary documentation before proceeding with the review.
· Complete assigned reports accurately and within specified timelines.
· Communicate trends or issues to Team Leads and managers within the department.
· Actively contribute to the upkeep of department policies and procedures.
· Process collateral files and recorded instruments received from custodians or outsourcing providers.
· Order original documents from customers as needed.
Job Requirements:
· Utilize data entry skills to create releases, demonstrating a deep understanding of associated Mortgage Documents.
· High School Graduate or holder of General Education Diploma (GED).
· Mortgage experience with a minimum of 3-6 months in a related role.
· Familiarity with retrieving recording information from county recorder's websites.
· Proficient in communicating with county recorder's offices to obtain recording information.
· Ability to identify mortgage assignments and other collateral documents.
· Demonstrates very high accuracy levels in data entry.
· Exceptional attention to detail.
