Job Description:
Administers security processes necessary for facility operations primarily focused on document control, identification, marking, accounting, and transmission of classified information.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains accountability requirements for classified documents and media materials IAW NISPOM.
- Applies Security Classification Guidance necessary for the proper application of safeguarding classified information.
- Assists with managing and administering the badging and security access control systems to ensure proper safeguarding and circulation control.
- Supports the implementation of corporate and local security practices and procedures to affect positive compliance by all employees.
- Assists in developing Security Education, Training and Awareness briefing materials; track completion data and maintain training records of employees.
- Maintains records and archiving security relevant information in accordance with NISPOM.
- Participate in self-inspections, government inspections, and security audits.
- Maintain security databases, logs, files, records and generate reports pertaining to Document Custodian/training databases - SIMS/NISS/DISS.
- Provide backup for processing visit certs and badging.
- Ensure proper handling of classified materials to include COMSEC.
- Review documents for proper classification markings.
- Implement security policies and directives to ensure facility compliance.
- Conduct periodic inventories to verify or track assets (i.e. documents, equipment, accountable material, etc.) in assigned secure areas.
- Administer security programs and procedures for classified, or sensitive materials, documents, and equipment.
- Implement federal security regulations, maintaining knowledge, and awareness of interdisciplinary compliance requirements (i.e. cyber, information technology, and configuration management).
- Maintain foreign travel requirements IAW NISPOM and corporate policies within SIMS and DISS.
- Will be required to obtain a secret clearance
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Secret clearance
- Must work well within a team and independently, as well as be able to back up other areas as needed.
- Quickly adapt to changing regulations and environment.
- Excellent communication skills both spoken and written.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $45,000 - $83,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
