What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $20.26 - $25.32. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to rotate between the three Denver Human Services locations during in-office days. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

The Performance Improvement and Accountability Division (PIAD) of Denver Human Services is seeking out a flexible, adaptable, and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Document Management Technician.
In this role, you will be working within our scanning operations team. The scanning operations team within PIAD improves the delivery of documents to the Eligibility Technicians within the Family and Adult Assistance Division (FAAD), who are responsible to determine eligibility for public assistance programs (Food Assistance, Financial, Medicaid, and TANF). Duties for this role include file (paper and electronic) manipulation, preparation, maintenance, storage, retrieval, tracking, corrections, retention, and destruction.
Additionally, the Document Management Technician:
  • Reviews and evaluates applications and/or documents (both paper and electronic) submitted by clients for public assistance programs to verify completeness and acceptability
  • Conducts research through various databases to identify and validate key information and demographics related to submitted client applications and documents
  • Prepares and organizes paper applications and/or documents, to then perform all aspects of scanning inclusive of operating and manipulating imaging equipment and software to ensure that scanned images meet quality standards
  • Retrieval, opening, and digital date stamping of paper documentation submitted for processing
  • Uses public assistance program knowledge and information obtained through database research to input critical data, determine categorization, and route associated applications and/or documents, to create workflow tasks within systems
  • Performs quality assurance by examining and checking the accuracy of work completed by peers. Responsible to communicate with tact and collaborate to resolve any errors identified prior to Third Party reception
  • Examines, recommends, and implements necessary modifications to current procedures and workflow to ensure efficient and effective Document Management
  • Ability to identify and effectively communicate issues that may occur while performing Document Management operations

Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
  • Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of experience performing office support/clerical work
  • Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements
