Treasure Valley Foot and Ankle is a quickly growing podiatry practice. Established in January 2020, the practice has exceeded growth expectations, despite the limitations due to COVID-19. Our goal is to provide excellent care to all of our patients while enjoying a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
As a Podiatric Medical Receptionist you will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient operation of our podiatry office. You will support the doctor and patients through a variety of tasks related to scheduling, patient care management, organization, communication, and data entry. The goal is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Answer telephones using proper telephone etiquette and protocols
- Schedule appointments
- Gather necessary information from new and returning patients
- Correspond efficiently with other medical offices
- Check in/out patients
- Update medical records/insurance information
- Collect payments
- Schedule surgeries/procedures
- Electronic health records
- Email and fax
- Variety of computer skills, Office based
- On occasion you may also be asked to:
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
- Perform x-rays, with physician supervision
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Assist during medical examinations and office-based procedures
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records, with supervision
Skills
- Work experience as a medical receptionist, medical assistant or nurse is required; additional training is available
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social awareness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software (Sevocity)
- Willingness to travel to Weiser, ID 1 day per week (travel time is paid)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
