Medical Receptionist/Front Office Assistant

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients and visitors. Determine their needs and direct them accordingly.
• Checking patients in/out of appointments.
• Receive, Answer, and Respond to telephone calls.
• Schedule patient appointments in EMR system.
• Maintain patient demographic information by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
• Collecting patient copays and balances.
• Contribute to our medical team effort by engaging in communication, organization, and follow through.
• Optimizing patient satisfaction - performing a superior level of customer service.
• Maintain patient lobby and surrounding areas.
• Maintain providers schedules
• Other duties as assigned.
• Punctual
• Team oriented

Qualifications/Skills

• High School or equivalent
• Customer Service Experience: 2 years (required)
• Medical Office Experience (highly preferred)
• EMR/eClinicalWorks Experience (highly preferred)
• Computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent telephone/communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize (highly preferred).
• Detail-oriented
• Professionalism

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• medical reception: 1 year (Preferred)
