Medical Receptionist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office setting and possess excellent customer service skills. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and assisting with various administrative tasks.

Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate department
- Schedule patient appointments using electronic scheduling systems
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks as needed
- Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers
- Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality is maintained at all times
- Assist with other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in medical office administration is a plus
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is beneficial
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
