We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and excellent customer service to patients and visitors. This is a vital role in our medical office, as you will be the first point of contact for patients and play a key role in ensuring a positive experience.
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct them to the appropriate department
- Verify insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with medical administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Previous experience in an administrative or front desk role, preferably in a medical office setting
- Familiarity with office equipment and phone systems
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Crystal Practice Management
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to accurately transcribe information
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
