Paratransit Driver $19/Hr

The Position of a driver is essential for the growth and success of our company. You will be responsible for transporting patients with varying disabilities to and from medical appointments while following all appropriate passenger loading and unloading procedures.

Hiring Criteria:

• Must be available to work 7 days of the week and 12 hours per shift (as needed) including weekends, night and holidays
• Providing door-to-door transportation for passengers safely and efficiently
• Ensure passengers are properly secured and provide assistance with all entries and exits
• Secure wheelchairs and other mobility devices
• Obey the rules of the road and DOT regulations
• Practice safe driving habits
• Greet passengers, accept copayment, and maintain a safe environment
• Properly report all incidents, accidents, and mechanical concerns
• Completes pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Communicate with dispatch and complete necessary daily paperwork
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness
• Make our customers smile!
• Operate vehicles including a paratransit bus or minivan and assist passengers in getting on and off the vehicle.
• Assist with wheelchairs (Willing to learn how to use wheelchair restraints for vehicles)
• Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision

Qualifications

• At least 25 years old with a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
• A valid driver's license in good standing with state
• Possess excellent customer service and communication skills
• Punctual with an emphasis on attendance
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical
• Clean background and driving record
