Medical Receptionist

Dr Grossweiner and Blaszak Dermatology is seeking a Part-time Medical Receptionist that is reliable, personable and self-motivated. Medical Receptionist Job Responsibilities:

• Welcomes and greets patients and visitors, in person or by telephone; answering or referring all inquiries.
• Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
• Schedules appointments in person or by telephone, while optimizing patient satisfaction and exercising service excellence.
• Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records, both paper and electronic.
• Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
• Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information (HIPAA).
• Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies;
• Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
• Effectively communicates with co-workers and demonstrates respect to all; strong team player mentality.

Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma required.

Experience: One year of medical professional experience preferred.

Skills and Qualifications: Multi-tasking, Flexibility, Telephone Skills, Customer Service, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Scheduling, Word Processing , Professionalism, Quality Focus, Self-Motivated

Knowledge: Working knowledge of Illinois Confidentiality Act, training/experience, customer service skills, leadership skills. Must possess a strong understanding of importance of maintaining patient records, both electronically and on paper.

Job Type: Part-time opportunity available, : Monday through Friday. Vacation coverage as needed additionally. Must be willing to cover shifts in our Geneva office as needed and also be our opener with a start time of 5:30 am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. That shift will be rotated.
