Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule and confirm appointments for patients, both in person and over the phone
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with billing and insurance claims processing
- Manage the front desk area, including answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and directing visitors
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical scheduling systems and software
- Proficient in administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with front desk operations in a medical office setting
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Experience working with electronic health record systems (Eaglesoft, Dentrix, etc.)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
