Overview:
We are seeking a talented Software Tester with experience in Ruby on Rails (RoR) or Grails frameworks, who is eligible to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT programs, particularly in software development projects. As a Software Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications, while also meeting government clearance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Perform manual and automated testing of web applications developed using Ruby on Rails (RoR) or Grails frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with software developers to understand system requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Identify, document, and prioritize defects, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Conduct regression testing to verify the impact of code changes and ensure the stability of existing features.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and review meetings to provide input on testing efforts and status updates.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and security standards, including eligibility for Public Trust Clearance.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, tools, and trends in software testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• US citizenship required, with residency in the Lower 48 States.
• Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Proven experience as a Software Tester, Quality Assurance Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails (RoR) or Grails frameworks is required.
• Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks such as RSpec, Cucumber, Selenium, or similar.
• Experience in both manual and automated testing of web applications.
• Solid understanding of Agile development practices and principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $79,400.00 - $105,600.00 per year
