The Orthopedic Institute of New Jersey is looking for a dependable and reliable Medical Receptionist.
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Welcomes and greets patients in a manner that is helpful and friendly.
- Data entry of basic demographics and insurance information.
- Collects applicable co-payment/ account balances at time of service.
- Confirms eligibility of various patient’s insurance plans.
- Obtains referrals as needed.
- Schedule appointments.
- Travel to other locations, in the Sussex/Warren/Morris counties, as needed.
- Rotate weekends as needed.
- Various other office duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
Requirements:
- Recent medical receptionist experience.
- Orthopedic experience preferred.
- Ability to work with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Ability to organize workload and prioritize
- Good communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and a positive, affirming attitude towards patients.
