SalaryAdecco Medical & Science is hiring for a Medical Office Assistant role for their local client in Newark ,NJ location .
Job Type - Contract ( 3months )
Shift - 8am to 5pm (M- F)
Pay - 19-21/HR
Job Description -
Greets patients and visitors in a prompt and courteous manner, explaining clinic procedures, answering routine questions, and facilitating adherence to schedule of appointments.
Accurately schedules/cancels/confirms patients’ appointments according to the criteria of the department.
Registers patients completely and accurately. Answers phone calls, takes accurate messages, and refers caller or message to appropriate party.
Assists with billing procedures and forms, assists in the preparation of documents and forms sent to/received from referring physician directed.
Must adhere to proper Patient Identification policies. Develops and maintains good customer relations skills consistent with the department’s guidelines.
Required Education/Skill -
High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
Two (2) years of progressively responsible clerical experience, including receptionist and scheduling duties required.
Experience in Medical Office setting including some billing preferred.
Computer skills (proficient w/MS Office & experience w/electronic registration and medical record systems)
Excellent customer service skills required.
Ability to multi-task and to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Pay Details: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour
