We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement, and maintaining patient financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services
- Ensure accurate completion of billing forms, insurance claims, and related documents
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures
- Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials to ensure timely reimbursement
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients, applying them to patient accounts
- Maintain patient financial records and update billing information as necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and office staff to resolve billing issues and answer questions regarding claims
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), and billing procedures
- Familiarity with medical office software systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: $19.25 - $23.18 per hour
