Job Summary:
We are seeking an detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical coding systems, medical records, and billing processes and patient collections. Must have at least 3 years minimun experience in billing and Collections as well at least 3 prior work references.
Duties:
- Review and analyze medical documentation to assign appropriate codes using ICD-10, ICD-9, and other coding systems
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resubmit claims as necessary
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries and disputes
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with the medical office staff to ensure accurate documentation and coding practices
- Assist with medical collections as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing or coding preferred
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of medical coding systems (ICD-10, ICD-9) and billing processes
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical billing software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
