Pride Health is seeking candidates for a Medical Assistant opportunity based in Cedar Hill, TX. This is a contract assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion into permanent based on your work performance).
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:45am to 5:00pm
Pay: $15- $23.87/hr.(Pay rate depends on experience, expertise, and education)
Job Duties:
- Performs duties within Medical Assistant's scope: operates diagnostic equipment, removes staples, changes dressings, administers non-IV medication, collects specimens (non-invasively or via venipuncture), performs EKGs, conducts equipment quality control, sterilizes equipment.
- Rooms patients, prepares for exams according to procedures.
- Accurately and timely documents patient care in medical record.
- Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians and policies.
- Maintains patient confidentiality and treats with courtesy and respect.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or the ability to obtain the certification within 180 days of employment.
- Current BLS certification (through an approved AHA at time of hire or within 30 days of hire
- Minimum 1 years of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
