Summary
As a Clinical Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare providers and ensuring our patients receive exceptional care. You will perform a variety of clinical tasks, working directly with patients and assisting with examinations and procedures (before, during, and after).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, weight, etc.)
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Assist with minor procedures as directed by the healthcare provider.
- Documentation of:
- Patient's medical history and physical exam.
- Procedures and treatments performed.
- Physician orders.
- Patient education and explanations of risks and benefits.
- Physician-dictated diagnoses, prescriptions, and instructions for patient or family members for self-care and follow-up.
- Collect, organize, and catalog data for the physician quality reporting system.
- Attend training on diverse subjects such as information technology, legal, HIPAA, OSHA, and regulatory compliance.
- Stay up to date on medical terminology and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and sterile work environment.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Work effectively as part of a team.
Qualifications/Experience
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent degree/diploma.
- Minimum of 5 years of medical assisting experience in a clinical setting.
- Experience in a vascular practice performing vein procedures is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to demonstrate basic sterile environment techniques as part of the interview process.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Language Ability
Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially regarding activities impacting patient or employee safety or security.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
