Job Summary and Qualifications

TheOperating Room Assistant Leadsupports the management of the OR by providing direct and indirect nursing services to the patient under the supervision of the registered nurse and performs tasks necessary to the functioning of the Operating Room. The Operating Room Assistant Lead works with OR management to ensure the care and tasks of the Operating Room Assistants supports the mission, vision, and values of the hospital. 

• Transports patients and equipment to and from OR
• Has understanding of working as a team member in a sterile environment
• Assists Nurses to secure basic O.R. furniture's tocks and replenishes room supplies
• Works with Assistant Nurse Manager/Manager to ensure safe and efficient daily functioning of all Operating Room Assistants
• Performs technical skills and designated tasks as outlined during educational training and nursing unit requirements
• Attendance and being on time, ready to work your scheduled hours is an essential job function

What qualifications you will need:

• Technical or Vocational training; high school education/GED
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required  or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Minimum of one year hospital experience preferred
